It was this passion that inspired me to create this website Orchids of Malaysia which I hope to share with the public so that they could also appreciate the fragility of specimens in their respective habitat.

 

The focus on wild orchids of Malaysia, I believe, mirrors my adventures in the country since I was captivated by its beauty 25 years ago.

 

I still have much to learn and I greatly welcome the sharing of ideas, opinions and experience from others, whether they are a newcomer or a veteran in this hobby.

About Me

I have changed directions many times in my life, trying a variety of different jobs.

 

Presently, I am a Journalist with the New Straits Times in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu. I have been with this profession for 23 years.

 

Wild orchids have been my life long passion and had taken me all over Malaysia to record the plant habitat and to capture its beauty on celluloid.
